Our Mission
To let God love us and love others through us by helping to meet the material, physical, emotional and spiritual needs of those in need.
"I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me."
Matthew 25:40
"Therefore, as God's chosen people, holy and dearly loved, clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness and patience. Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. And over all these virtues put on love, which binds them all together in perfect unity." Colossians 3:12-14

Sharing the Blessing of Giving at Christmastime!
Stitching with Love will give 21 quilts to children at Acres of Hope. Our Seniors are partnering in prayer for these kids by name. Lap quilts, burp cloths and scarves will also be distributed to PEACE for Families and local senior care homes.
13 volunteers helped special needs students at Aldar Academy decorate Christmas cookies and ornaments and took them shopping at Wal*Mart with the 80 giftcards you provided.
A cart full of stocking stuffers you donated was picked up by a member of the Roseville Kiwanis Club for a party they are throwing for the kids at North Roseville REC Center. What a fun time they will have.
May God bless you as you have blessed others!
Story from a teacher at Aldar Academy:
I wanted to share a heartwarming experience of being with Jennifer (name has been changed) at Walmart yesterday. Nothing highly unusual and something that was probably repeated over and over again with dozens of students, but I saw this one up close and it said a lot to me about the inner hearts of our students, despite their outward defensive and sometimes rough exteriors.
I walked through the store with Jennifer for about 40 minutes. She saw so many things she wanted and needed. She needed some slippers and picked some up. She needed some earphones and found the cheapest pair and picked those up too. She needed make-up and fingernails and spent time looking in that department and added some more things to her pile. She wanted clothes and shoes but passed those by. As we walked, she also saw things for her other family members: a t-shirt for her father, a necklace for her mother, a Dr. Seuss movie for her little brothers to share, a sippy cup for a classmate's baby, some gum for one of our school classroom aids, and even some special "Christmas" treats for her dogs.
As Jennifer kept adding things to her pile, I reminded her that she probably wouldn't be able to afford all those things. We kept walking and one by one, without any prompting from me, she returned each and every item she had wanted for herself. I couldn't help but think as she did this, that her dogs would never even be aware of her sacrifice, that her classmate probably already had plenty of sippy cups for her baby, and that our good staff member Cesar would be fine without another pack of gum, but Jennifer was determined and would not put any of those items away.
At this point, between all the things she had decided to keep and return, I had totally lost count of the sum total of the items and was anticipating she would be over the $25 limit. Jennifer confidently placed her purchases on the counter, the cashier rang everything up and it came to $24.80! Jennifer left the store proud and smiling.
I was reminded of the quote that says, "He who has no Christmas in his heart will never find Christmas under a tree." I saw that loving heart in action yesterday with Jennifer at Walmart.
